Salama Radio 98.1fm is the manifestation of the dream of its owner and Chief Executive, Apostle (Dr.) Emmmanuel Nuhu Kure. It was established in November 2017 to be precised.

The aim was to give the people of Southern Kaduna and their neighbours a voice to express their feelings and views on any matter that affects their well being, physical and spiritual.

LOCATION: Zauru Village in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State – although very close to Kafanchan, headquaters of Jema’a Local Government Area

Kafanchan is a popular historic and relatively cosmopolitan Railway Junction Town in the southern part of Kaduna state.

Specifically, Kafanchan is on Latitude 9.58 and longitude 8.29 at an elevation point of 733 metres above sea level. Kafanchan has an estimated population of 80,000, making it the fourth largest single city in Kaduna State.

Since its establishment, Salama Radio has been serving the various communities within its reach as an eye opener through the provision of information generally and specifically on local, national and international issues that have to do with the lives of the people

Presently, at least 16 tribes present their own language programmes through the Salama Language Belt, including Hausa and Fulfulde, while a special slot has been provided for Muslims in the programme: “Ibadan Musulunci” on Fridays, which the Jama’atu Nasir Islam JNI, has endorsed fully.

Salama Radio’s coverage area includes Keffi, the Nasarawa State Capital, FCT Abuja, parts of Plateau state and all the local government areas in Southern Kaduna
