Days to the commencement of the 2023 UTME examinations across the country, Zango Kataf Local Government Council has trained no fewer than three hundred students from selected public and private schools within the Local Government Area on the use of computer.

Addressing the students on Friday at the venue of the training in Madakiya, the Council Chairman, Mr. Francis Sani tasked the students to explore the opportunity given them in learning the intrigues of operating the computer, so as to have a hitch free exercise.

Speaking through his Special Assistant on Youth and Sports, Mr. Ezekiel James, the Chairman said the purpose of organising the workshop was to exposed the candidates on the use of computer because they realised that many students from the local government fail the JAMB exams as a result of their limited experience on the use of the computer.

Mr. Sani who urged the applicants to study heard for the UTME examination scheduled to commence next week, pledged to offer scholarship to any student that score two hundred and forty points and above for his or her tertiary education.

Earlier, the leader of Pheonix group, the facilitators of the training, Mr. Charles Dyaji, challenged the applicants not to be intimidated by the size of the computers, since they know how to operate android phones.

He also advised them to always skip questions they are not too familiar with, so that they can effectively utilise the time allocated to them for the examination.

Some of the applicants who spoke with Salama News shortly after the training, appreciated the Council Chairman for giving them the opportunity to experiment how the actual examination will look like, just as many of them say they have used or operated a computer before.

Salama News reports that, the all the applicants during the two days training were given the opportunity to log in for the exams, select their subjects and answer questions from a dummy to prepare them for the actual examination.
