A group under the auspices of ‘Peter Obi Support Network’, Kaduna South Senatorial District has called on members of the ‘Obidient’ family from the area to throw their weight behind the candidature of Ashiru Kudan/Dr John Ayuba in Saturday’s governorship election as there is hope of winning.

In a press statement signed by Comrade Derek Christopher, Zonal Coordinator of the Network, made available to Newsmen on Thursday, the group said voting massively for Ashiru Kudan and John Ayuba will mean breaking the shackles of bondage the APC administration in Kaduna state has subjected the people to.

The statement said after due consultation and interaction with the PDP governorship candidate and his running mate, they promised to entrench quality and purposeful leadership in Kaduna state that will give all a sense of belonging.

It said the PDP candidate also assured that they will pay adequate attention to the security of lives and property to guarantee the free flow of legitimate activities.

Derek Christopher said during a separate interaction with Dr John Ayuba, the running mate, he assured of bringing more infrastructural development to Southern Kaduna as it will not be left out of the scheme of things in the state.

The statement urged all people of goodwill to vote for the face of hope and not those that will concentrate on dividing the people along religious and ethnic lines.

Derek said their principal and the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi encouraged them to vote for credibility and competence which remains their yardstick in the Saturday’s election.

The statement categorically said after weighing things, the group observed that the governorship candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Jonathan Asake does not have the state wide spread that will enable him win the election hence their support for the PDP candidate.

It said those encouraging Asake to go ahead with the contest are only paving way for Uba Sani of the APC to win and urged the people to shine their eyes.

Derek Christopher said the PDP has promised reduction in school fees especially in tertiary institutions and that farmers will go back to their farms if voted into power.
