Ahead of Saturday’s Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in Kaduna State, a group tagged “Southern Kaduna Youth Stakeholders Forum” has resolved to support the candidature of Senator Uba Sani of the All Progressives Congress for this Saturday’s polls.
Rising from a press conference on Monday in Kaduna, the forum said its decision is hinged on the fact that it cannot afford to lose touch with the center as the people of Southern Kaduna have played opposition role for so long without benefitting from it, hence the retrogression it has continued to witness.
Chairman of the group, Mr. Mock Samuel Kure said they have decided to take advantage of their numbers to mobilise as many votes as possible to ensure that Senator Uba Sani emerges victorious come 11 Saturday, 2023.
The group also said they are going to prove a point that they are neither a people of ethnic nor religious biases.
Mock added that the group would engage Senator Uba Sani after he wins the election and subsequently sworn in to make sure that he delivers on his promises made to the people of Kaduna State, especially Southern Kaduna.
The noted that the resolution is reached after it has weight the antecedents of all the candidates and their chances of winning the Governorship election.
It said, after going through the antecedents of all the gubernatorial candidates including Senator UBA Sani of the APC, Ashiru Isa Kudan, PDP, Senator Othman Hunkuyi of NNPP and Jonathan Asake of the Labour Party, it decided to settle for Uba Sani as its choice come March 11 2023.
