A Non Governmental Organization, ‘Sanko Educational Foundation’ is set to obtain and register JAMB examination for 300 less privileged youths across the three Chiefdoms of the Kaura Local Government Area.
The Director of the Foundation, Mr Sankyai Obadiah, who disclosed this during a stakeholders meeting in Kaura on Monday said the gesture was intended to support, especially less privileged students to enroll in tertiary institution.
Mr Obadiah explained that the three chiefdoms of Kagoro, Moro’a and Takad is expected to present one hundred beneficiaries each.
While describing the gesture as purely service to humanity, hoped that the beneficiaries will take the program seriously.
He also offered to give scholarship to any of the students who successfully gain admission in any of the Universities or Polytechnics in Nigeria to study critical courses like Medicine, Law and Accounting.
A cross section of stakeholders who spoke during the meeting, commended the initiator describing it as laudable.
They called on other well meaning sons and daughters of the Area to emulate the scholarship programme so as to assist more children of the down trodden in the society.
