The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Kaduna state in the forthcoming 2023 poll, Senator Uba Sani on Monday met with different groups in Southern Kaduna, even as he vowed to consolidate on the achievements of Malam Nasir Elrufai if elected.

 

Sani, who represents Kaduna Central at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, made the pledge during a town hall meeting held in Kafanchan, headquarters of Jema’a Local Government Area.

 

Salama News reports that the APC candidate engaged with traders, farmers, women, youth and religious groups and unions among others.

He explained that building on the giant strides of the present administration in education, healthcare, agric, youth and women empowerment was necessary to ensure sustained development.

 

According to him, only projects that have a direct bearing on the lives of the people would be given priority in his government.

 

He maintained that his exploit at the senate made him well placed to govern the state.

On security, the APC Governorship Candidate noted that creation of state police and giving constitution roles to traditional rulers was the only way out.

 

In her remarks, Sani’s running mate and incumbent Deputy Governor of the state, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, said a vote for the APC was a vote for an assured future.

Balarabe noted that the town hall meeting was convened to get the inputs of the people of the zone before the candidate’s manifesto is released.

 

In their various contributions, presentatives of the different groups and unions present reaffirmed their support for the APC candidate, and urged him to meet their yearnings and aspirations if voted into office.
