A Coalition of Support Groups of the Labour Party, LP in Southern Kaduna has unequivocally resolved to throw its weight behind the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Senatorial Candidate, Sunday Marshall Katung against the Candidate of the Labour Party, Michael Ayuba Auta.
At a Press Conference in Kafanchan on Monday, the Convener, Mr Jonah Bonet alias Bompo said the decision is hinged on Mr Auta’s record of betrayal and breach of trust, some of which are allegedly still with the EFCC.
Mr Bonet noted that the People of Southern Kaduna deserve quality representation, which the group believes Sunday Marshall Katung can offer than Mr Michael Auta.
The Convener, however, said the endorsement of the PDP Senatorial Candidate does not in anyway, invalidate their resolve to work for the success of Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi and the gubernatorial candidate of the party in Kaduna state, Mr Jonathan Asake.
The group also maintained that the endorsement of Marshall Katung should not be misconstrued as anti activity, rather they should be commended for the courage to take the stand.
