The presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Alh. Atiku Abubakar has pledged to bring federal presence to Southern Kaduna if he emerge President in 2023.

He made the pledge during a town-hall meeting with clergies, youth and student unions in Southern Kaduna, held in on Monday in Kafanchan, headquarters of Southern Kaduna.

Atiku who noted that Southern Kaduna is big enough to be a state of its own, wondered why the region has no federal presence, adding that there is no reason why that should be so.

The presidential candidate also restated his resolve to transform Southern Kaduna, even as he promised a holistic approach in tackling the security challenges in the region and other parts of the country.

In their separate remarks earlier, representatives of the clergies, youth and student unions, urged the candidate not to renege on his promises if elected.

They noted that as a former vice president of Nigeria, he is more exposed to Nigeria which makes him well placed to govern the country.
