The 2023 Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Isa Ashiru Kudan has joined sympathisers to condemn the the recent attacks in Southern Kaduna, which led to the dead of seven people.
Ashiru in a statement he personally signed and made available to Salama News Wednesday night, lamented that the attack was coming when normalcy have been restored to the areas.
It could be recalled that terrorists stormed Kamuru-Ikulu, a community in Zango Kataf Local Government Area, kidnapped a newly wedded bride and killed four people and also attacked Mallagum and Kpak communities in Kaura Local Government Areas of Kaduna State killing three people in broad day light.
While consoling the governement and people of the affected Local Government Areas, the PDP standard bearer tasked security agencies to take urgent steps to uncover the attackers and bring them to book while measures to prevent similar attacks across the state, especially as the festive period approaches.
Similarly, the Kaduna South Senatorial Candidate of the PDP, Barr. Sunday Marshall Katung described the recent attacks as premeditated, intentional, and aimed at displacing people and instilling fear ahead of the festivities.
In a statement he issued to newsmen on Wednesday, Katung was optimistic that despite these provocative attacks on some communities in Southern Kaduna, the people have since vowed to live peacefully with everyone, even as they are also resolute not tolerate the continuous killings and attacks on them while at homes or in their farms.
He however, commended the security agencies for their prompt action to douse the tension, but urged them to continue to be more proactive in forestall these attacks and create a safe environment for the people to go about their daily and lawful activities.
